Merit Scholarships
Sage Merit scholarships are the base for a student’s financial aid package. These scholarships are awarded to the most academically competitive applicants. Our awards range from $13,000-$20,000 per year and are renewable each year for up to 4 years for students entering as a freshman and up to 3 years for transfer students. Students must be enrolled full time and remain in good academic standing.

Institutional Grants
Russell Sage College offers has a variety of grant programs based on financial needs and other factors. Filing a 2020-2021 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the first step in applying for Russell Sage College grant aid.

Endowed Scholarships
The college is fortunate to have generous donors that provide endowed scholarship funds that we award each year to our students. Students are evaluated by the financial aid office to determine eligibility based on each scholarships’ specific criteria. No additional applications are required.

Federal and State Aid

We encourage you to work with one of our financial aid administrators to fully explore your options.

All students who meet eligibility requirements can receive some type of financial aid regardless of income. We encourage all students to file the 2020-2021 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). In addition, if you are a New York State resident, you should file your NYS Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) application as well. Students from other states should work with their school counselors to see if state aid is available if you attend an out-of-state institution.
